School Council update
The Summer term has been really busy and productive for the School Council! We have been meeting regularly to discuss any new suggestions that have been placed in the brand new Voice Boxes in all of our classes and have really enjoyed meeting with Mrs Jacob to discuss these issues further. We have also enjoyed reading your comments on our School Council blog about the issues that we have discussed in our meetings – there have been some really useful comments made so thank you very much and keep on writing! Don’t forget that you can also read the minutes of our meeting on our noticeboard in the school foyer.
This term, we have re-written our Anti-Bullying policy; it’s taken us a long time as we have been very careful to ensure that the children in all the classes have had a say in what they think should be included. We have now updated it to include advice and information about what to do if you are a victim of cyberbullying or if you know anyone who is a victim of cyberbullying. We are really very proud of our new policy; a copy can be found on the School Council noticeboard in the foyer and also in every class.
We have also been speaking with Mrs Jacob and all the children to find out how they would like to spend the profit made during Entrepreneurial Week – we raised a total of £291 to spend on playground games and equipment, which we think is amazing!
We look forward to coming back to school in the Autumn term to enjoy our new games and equipment! Thank you all for making your voice heard in a very busy and productive year for the School Council!
