The Autumn term has been busy for the School Council! We have been meeting to discuss any new suggestions that have been placed in the Voice Boxes in all of our classes and have really enjoyed meeting with Mrs Jacob to discuss these issues further. We have also updated our School Council blog; we are really excited about this and love our new blog – we look forward to updating the it after every meeting. This means that all the children in Pembrey School have a voice – they can all read about what happened in our last meeting, comment and put forward their points of view. We really value the comments made and check it regularly.
We have also been working with the Rights Respecting School Committee to raise money for charity – we collected a massive £280 for Children in Need by holding a ‘Spotty Day’ and selling cakes at playtime so a big ‘Thank you!’ to everyone who bought and donated cakes. We also collected money on Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
However, the most fun we’ve had was organising our ‘Guess the Baby’ stall in the Christmas fayre – who could have guessed that all the teachers and LSAs were such cute babies and everyone enjoyed having a turn at the Pie Face game when they guessed correctly … SPLAT!!
