Autumn Term 18-19
On October 29thwe received an Excellence award from Estyn. Only 19 schools were awarded out of 1500 Primary Schools. What an amazing achievement for everyone, pupils, staff, governors and parents. Well done and congratulations!
Macmillan coffee morning and PTA disco
Thank you for supporting our Macmillan coffee morning. We raised £250 for the charity. Thank you also for the PTA for a great Halloween disco. Lots of children enjoyed and the costumes were fabulously frightening.
Pembrey Primary had a lovely time celebrating harvest in St. Illtyd’s Church. Thank you Father Jim for letting us visit your beautifully decorated church.
Well done to our superb swimmers and fabulous footballers who represented our school in the Urdd competitions.
Blwyddyn 2 & 3 thoroughly enjoyed watching and participating in Arad Goch’s performance ‘Cerrig Yn Slic’.
Our pupils made poppies to remember those who gave their lives in battle. They displayed them by St. Illtyd’s Church and also were asked to lay a wreath at the Remembrance Day service in Burry Port. Year 2 held an assembly to celebrate this day. Parents were invited to listen to their children share their own memories too.
Thank you to Susanna for giving up her time to share about water safety and reminding the pupils how to respond to an emergency. They enjoyed learning a safety song and trying on the uniform.
Blwyddyn 6 had a fantastic time learning Spanish with Mrs. Young. Thank you again for your time. Fantàstico!
Blwyddyn 5 received their Buddy Training so they can help all pupils in Pembrey School access their right to feel safe (article 19) and to relax and play (article 31) during play times.
The Big Welsh Rhyme
The pupils of Foundation Phase enjoyed learning and performing rhymes. Reception class had fun sharing stories and rhymes at Pembrey Library to celebrate ‘The Big Welsh Rhyme Time’ too.
Fflic a Fflac
Pupils from Nursery to Year 3 enjoyed a show by Fflic a Fflac, having fun but also developing their welsh language skills.

KS2 loved today's Christmas treat - magic show with Jack Twist! Foundation Phase also watched the pirate magician and had lots of fun!
